IEC-based sizing for AC/DC breakers and cables.
Roles, calculation steps.
CT classes, sizing, VT basics.
CT Adequacy, Calculations, Parameters
DC load profile, battery sizing.
This session explains what relay settings are, why they are required, and how core parameters such as pickup, time dial, and curves are selected.
Practical examples demonstrating relay settings.
Applies relay settings through coordination examples, verification against schematics, and identification of common setting errors.
The session also covers panel contents, signal lists, cable schedules, and termination charts, linking relay I/O to physical wiring.
This session introduces electrical symbols, wiring notations, and IEC/ANSI drawing conventions used in control and protection schematics.
Read drawings systematically and trace logic paths such as trip, close, alarm, and interlock circuits.
Focuses on understanding protection philosophy and how common schemes such as overcurrent, differential, and distance protection are represented in schematics.
Mapping schematic logic to relay functions and identify CT/VT connections and ANSI elements in real drawings.
This final session explains how all project documents fit together, including schematics, relay settings, signal lists, and termination drawings.
Participants gain insight into vendor deviations, and how these deliverables are used in real substation and plant projects.
